The 2025 Antisemitic Incidents Report, published by the CST is a damning indication of the reality facing the Jewish population across the UK.
In Scotland, these statistics outline the highest reported figures (per capita) since our internal monitoring began in 2011 and include the first report of an incident of ‘Extreme Violence’ in Scotland. This reflects the ever-increasing threats to Jewish life in Scotland experienced by the Jewish community in issues of ambient and explicit antisemitism, anti-Zionist campaigns, and a mobilisation of provocative pro-Palestinian activities which are now widely accepted as maintaining an antisemitic agenda in almost all forms at their core.
“We have raised awareness of this issue on numerous occasions at the highest level across Government and with all relevant public bodies throughout Scotland, urging them to take action robustly and decisively to protect the Jewish population of Scotland. This unchallenged hostility has now reached unprecedented levels, and the Jewish Council of Scotland reiterates its call to our political leaders to demonstrate their commitment to the safety of the Jewish community by taking a public stance against all forms of antisemitism and Jew Hatred.”
